Grand Rapids Pipeline system

Overview

Since August 2017, the Grand Rapids Pipeline System has delivered crude oil on behalf of our customers. Jointly owned by South Bow and PetroChina Canada Ltd. The 460 km (286 mile) system plays a key role in connecting producing areas northwest of Fort McMurray, Alberta, to terminals in the Edmonton/Heartland region.

In November 2018, we placed the South Grand Rapids Pipeline into service. Through this joint venture between Grand Rapids and Keyera, the asset includes a diluent pump station and a 20-inch diameter diluent pipeline between Edmonton and Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.
